How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900w8) on Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Step 1: First of all download the required packages to your PC and unzip the files to a suitable location.
Step 2: Double Click on Odin3 v3.07 .exe to launch it.
Step 3: Turn Off your Galaxy Note 3 and reboot it into ‘Download Mode’, Hold down the Volume Down+Menu+Power buttons for a few seconds till you see a warning message on the screen,to continue into download mode hit the Volume Up.
Step 4: Connect your device to PC via the USB cable and make sure Odin3 recognizes it.
Step 5: Click on the ‘PDA’ button and select the img.tar custom recovery image file.
Step 6: Next, Click on the ‘Start’ button to flash the CWM or TWRP Recovery on Note 3.

Step 8: That’s it! wait for your phone boot normally. Connect your phone to PC and Copy the SuperSU update zip package to your phone memory.
Step 9: Again Turn Off your phone and this time we’ll reboot it into Custom Recovery Mode, Hold the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons simultaneously for a while and release it when you see the Custom Recovery Menu.

For CWM User – Select the option “install zip from sdcard” further select “choose zip from sdcard” and browse the SuperSU zip file and confirm the installation by selecting Yes.
For TWRP User – Tap on the “Install” browse and select SuperSU zip file from the location where you’ve placed it. Swipe the button which says, “Swipe to Confirm Flash”.
