- Go to Setting > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Charge your Galaxy S4 upto 60%.
- Backup all your important data to a secure system/place.
Steps to Easily Root Galaxy S4 (U.S. Cellular) SCH-R970 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware using CF-Root :
Step 1: Download all the required files from the above given links.
Step 2: Install either Samsung USB Drivers Or Samsung Kies.
Step 3: Extract the ‘CF-Auto-Root-jflteusc-jflteusc-schr970.zip’ file and place it on a safe place along with Odin flashing tool.
